Who We Are

About the Founder

Patrick Tyler, a Fort Worth businessman, started the company in 2011. Patrick has worked hard to establish the company’s presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and continually provide exceptional customer service. His wife, Jan, who retired in 2015 after working for 38 years in Education, has since taken an active role in the company operations. Patrick and Jan celebrated the company’s five year anniversary at the beginning of last year and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for the company!

What Led Patrick to Begin Cimarron Window and Door?

Patrick entered the building products industry shortly after graduation from college in 1972.  Fortunately, his employer, Boise Cascade Corp. was a world- wide manufacturer of lumber, plywood and other assorted building materials, so he was able to acquire a vast knowledge of all types of building materials and learned how they interact with each other.  Entering into sales within a year he chose to serve retail lumberyards, selling manufactured roof trusses, windows, doors, hardware, insulation, and lumber.  He soon discovered that becoming a “consultant,” rather than acting like a “salesman” to his customers and their customers brought more value to the client relationship.

Coming to Texas in 1980,  he decided shortly after that to concentrate his efforts in the window and door segment of the industry.  And again he found himself working for major, well known manufacturers i.e. Owens Corning and Jeld Wen.
